Key Applications & Products

• Low trauma dressings – Scapa has the capability to coat silicone gel adhesive, which offers low pain upon removal, low wound/skin trauma and repositioned without losing the bond strength.
  
  
• Wound dressing backing – we provide a range of PU films, foams and film/foam laminates that offer high MVTR, fluid barrier properties, conformability and aesthetics required for wound dressing backings. Our solutions are supplied either dry, for borderless dressings, or coated with a variety of adhesive systems for border dressing applications.
  
  
• High MVTR solutions – we have the capability to coat PU adhesive systems and pattern coat acrylic adhesives. The benefit is that the dressing retains the backing material’s high MVTR to provide optimal moisture balance in the wound, or increase the dressing wear time.
  
  
• Antimicrobial dressings – Scapa has the capability to include antimicrobial additives in the dressing material or adhesive systems to help infection control.
