Solar products successfully meet demanding climatic tests

Scapa foam bonding tape solutions offer the highest level of strength, security and durability in the photovoltaic solar energy market and are ideally suited to both automated and manual production assembly environments

Working together with the leading TÜV Rheinland Renewable Energies Institute and UL® (Underwriters Laboratories), Scapa confirms that it's products have successfully qualified to meet the demanding climatic tests of both the IEC 61215: 2005 Standard and UL 746C (UL 1703).

Specifically, all climatic tests of this technical standard were performed to evaluate the durability of Scapa foam fixing tapes for PV module framing. These included rigorous considerations of performance after: thermal cycling, humidity freeze, damp heat, dielectric withstand and wet leakage current tests and following this analysis, no visual defects or insulation loss was detected.

Scapa products can be tailored to meet individual requirements. Our specialist sales and technical personnel are always on hand to recommend the most appropriate product to meet the demands of the Photovoltaic industry.
